Great Women of Islam Class
🌙 The Great Women of Islam Class — Year 6
The Great Women of Islam Class is BACK for the 6th year!
This Ramadan, join us for a powerful, reflective journey through the lives of 27 remarkable women (رضي الله عنهن) who surrounded the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and helped shape the foundation of Islam.
This is not just a history class. It is an application-based study designed to help you reflect, internalize, and apply the characteristics, roles, and contributions of these women to your faith, family, leadership, business, and daily life.
What We’ll Be Studying
We will explore:
Who these women were
When and how they entered the life of the Prophet ﷺ
Their personal struggles, strengths, and contributions
One major lesson from each woman
How their qualities can be modeled today by Muslim women
Throughout the course, we will continuously reflect on:
How do we educate ourselves about Islam beyond surface-level knowledge?
What does it mean that women are one half of society?
How can we revive the roles of Muslim women today in accordance with the legacy of the Sahabiyat?
How do we apply these lessons to every area of our lives—spiritual, personal, professional, and communal?
Each week, participants will be invited to:
Identify one woman who deeply resonates with them
Reflect on why her story stands out
Consider which Muslim women in Islamic history they want to model themselves after
